Pulled Along

Pulled Along

A Poem by Rachel Landes

Sometimes you do not get to choose
And someone else chooses for you
Like a forced kiss
Of chocolate
Is called a chocolate bar

You and I are different
Because our differences
Place us in different realities
So this can never be real

Need everyone to not need me
Want to want what I should want
In space there is no space
And time does not tick
It flies

Wish I had a wish
That would undo what is done
But I guess I am out of guesses
And I am guessing that questioning is dumb
