I Surrender

I Surrender

A Poem by rachielle

It pierces through my skin-

I try depicting the pain,

But can’t even begin;

I’m drowning in a never ending rain-

Of tears.

I have no idea why

I waste my time on you

When no matter how hard I try

I can’t ever come through.

Yes, I treasure you;

But not for long.

 Sometimes even the strong,

Need to discontinue,

And quit the fight.

There isn't anything wrong with succumbing to failure. We all fall. That is, as long as we get back up again--then we're truly winning. In the case of love, we are all reminded that letting go isn't as depressing as it is. Sometimes, letting go means Love. And holding on means dependence. We fail to see that moving on and letting others be can be the best way to truly understand a true, loving relationship.

My favorite line:
Sometimes even the strong,
Need to discontinue

Lovely write. Keep the strength!

"Yes, I treasure you;
But not for long."

This says more than the simple words alone. All lovers are this to me. Most people too. Except family. The only things I treasure I know are mine. That does not include friends and lovers.

Love is inconstant. And that is part of the pain.

A very true write but I thought there was a problem with the flow but I could be mistaken and I apologize if I am. Keep writing! :)

These words are wise and true. Sometimes we have to let
go of negativity and find a positive.

The poem is very good. I could the feel the emotion of disappointment. Sometime we are the last to know we need to run. A outstanding poem. I like the end.
