the unearthing of a shallow grave

the unearthing of a shallow grave

A Poem by Ramsey's Rebellion
"

a quick poem penned to commemorate my return to online writing community.

"
The great maw of time
has chomped tired fingers
who've lost interest
and lain listless.

The mind has grown weary
of its long sleep.
The aching fingers
long to type again.

The shallow grave of self doubt
is disturbed,
hinting at resurrection--
the hope of new words.

A new vista opens
as the poet breathes again.
From death, life;
poetry is written.

Author's Note

Ramsey's Rebellion
This isn't a well crafted piece. I spent only a few minutes on it. It was fun and it more of an announcement of my return to writing. Leave comments if desired, but I am not looking for any formal critiques. :)

I agree with Bettsy, Its definitely a sign of a good writer to pull something great together quickly. I'm so glad you have come back to WC. I can't wait to see what you'll share with us next.

You know a writer is good when they spend 'a few minutes' on a piece and still manage to create something worth reading. I liked this, thank you for sharing :)

There is nothing better then the pulling desire to write. I like the image of a poet breathing their words upon the page. I am looking forward to reading more of your work.
