Money

Money

A Poem by RaeStems

We chase the monetary
And preach about ab-ordinary
As if they were so special
When life itself is artificial
Nowadays
Only when you let go
And float freely in your dreams
Only when you let go
Of all the THINGS that you hold close
and hold closer those who mean something
Those who mean the most to you
Will you realize what is important
And what exactly you need to do.
When you are of service to the world here
And not for your own production
Will you then find
True enlightenment
And your spirit
Caressing you in the undefined
You'll get yours when you give time.
I'm not saying you should go broke
Or lose track of where you call home
But maybe take a step back
And realize things and money aren't what you lack
It is deep conversation
Epiphanies and realizations
Using your broadly underestimated underwhelmed imagination
I promise you
Money never gave a f**k
About you being all alone
Home is not a place where
You call back to on the phone
I promise you
Money never gave a f**k
Your bitterness
Is a waste of your love.
You're stepping on the earth's surface
But the pressure is all over yourself
You may think you are looking forward
By just saving for the future
But the future is today
And in your dreams that could fade away.
I promise you
Money never gave a f**k
It isn't power
It isn't freedom
It is power over your better luck.
