          Because I have seen the way

                                        Your body sways

                                 As your fingertips tickle the keys,

                                         Strum the strings,

                                                 Tap the canvas

           And how words flow from your lips

                        or are found in your crafted hand

           I have heard your voice lifted

                           on drives and in a multitude of praises

          And watched your eyes drift in wonder 

                                          as well as flutter to rest

                  Oh but to witness them in epiphany or in joy!

         I have felt your embrace as the slow song comes to an end

                                     and the caress of your thumb across my cheek as I weep

                                                    Goodbyes will never become simple
