Mining

Mining

A Poem by Rainee Whiting

Mining

Peculiar blackened gems,
tucked deep within my soul.
Each encapsulating all the things,
no one's meant to know.

Mining through my thoughts,
chipping away at all you see.
Unsettling the unsettled,
in search of all of me.

Exquisite blackened gems,
you admire, then you steal.
Leaving a million holes in me,
that only you can feel.
