Desperation in my soul

Exasperation in my mind

Separated from you

Wandering in the cosmos

 

Craving for your love

Lurking in the dark

Crawling with daylight

I am in the twilight

Hunting for glimpse of you

 

Necklace of profanity

Adoring your beautiful neck

Putrid practices of the society

Keep us quarantined

 

In the dungeon of evil

We are forced to exhort for mercy

In the rush of civilization

Our love remains banished

Our name peace and love!

Nicely written. Expressing so much in between the lines, love is the face of this poem but it ends with a message of how society and loss of the simplicity of "peace and love" has corrupted the very essence that love emits.
