Merry-Go-Round

Merry-Go-Round

A Poem by Raj Sahu
"

This is a poem based on old childish memories with carousel.

"
I recalled today the days that passed,
Hid in the dark works of today.
The hard toils of the busy life always
take my childhood far away.
Altogether, the coarse works made;
my entire schedule a rough essay.

The days I spent in my favourite past,
the rides of my lovely Merry-Go-Round;
reminds me of all that childish memories
and clatters and clap and sound.
But today in midst of busy life,
Never ever; my lovely childhood I found.

My lovely carousel, made my childhood lovely,
The sweet fragrant memories smear everywhere.
The friends of mine on that Merry-Go-Round
were unique and hard to find anywhere.
I still miss my amiable childhood,
I think it is lost somewhere.

Childhood is the best part of anyone's life. One is just lackadaisical for an adult's work and just endorsed in his playful activities. Merry-Go-Round was my favourite ride in childhood and still my heart wants to take its ride. Thank you for sharing.

Still I feel nostalgic when I recall my childhood. I tried my utmost best to go back but it is next to impossible.
Now, about your poem, carousel is lovely ride for all children, even my children likes to have a ride on it. And the very reality you show that while riding it you got many new friends. The rhymes are awesome as always. A good read indeed.

Thank you from the depth of my heart.
Childhood had many memories never to be experienced again- I wish I could remember all but no suck luck- I live a carousel and the tilt a whirl that made me laugh so much and the bumper cars- love the Big Dipper but not so fast to get on those heights anymore- wonderful words takingbus back to times of much joy-🌹

Thank you.
I can hear and feel the message in this piece! A few lines stand out as powerful! A few repeating words to tend too here but over all I enjoyed the meaning.
Those of us who had happy memorable times as children get caught up in the demands of adult life. If only we could reach back and grab a piece of ourselves and bring it back to the present...oh what that could do go us!!
Well done love the subject! On its way to a masterpiece!

I love the line about your schedule being a rough draft. I especially love the last line, "I think it is lost somewhere." I'm only a few months short of twenty, but I understand. :)
