The Fire of Our Love

The Fire of Our Love

A Poem by Ramya
"

I wrote this poem when I missed someone whom I held so very dear.

"
I miss you in all the ways I could,
Can't stop the yearning in my heart.
If I try to stop it all,
I go mad and lose my guard.

Love is burning for you,
Within me.
But you shed tons of ice,
To put every flame out.
Know that your tons don't do a thing to me,
For my love is now a blaze, extreme.

So what is it that you are going to do?
Watch me rise up in flames?

Why is it that you are heartless?
Boy, love is not a game.

Slight me,
Don't call me,
Don't speak to me at all.

Is this what you do?
To me who gave you all.

Yes I was bad, I was mad,
I was rude and I raised my voice.
But you were the one and only one darling,
With whom I could show it all.

Now you know that I have changed for good,
Mellowed and less bad, less mad,
Why is it that you are now going bad?
And making our lives so sad.

I feel the love,
Yet I feel the pain,
Why do you keep making my days go sour?
Tell me, how is it that you are what you are?
For it is so not you at all.

I just can't stop yearning for you,
I am on fire,
I am on fire,
I am on fire of love.

It can only be doused by the fire,
The fire of your love.

"Hell hath no fury like a woman whose love is scorned" at least I think that's how the old quote goes. From reading this, it's obvious you are one extremely passionate woman. Any woman that has a passion like fire is able to love a man as if he was God . . . but God help him if he turns against her. Then he'll be safer in Hell than in her company.
Remind me never to cross you. :)
