Mistake

Mistake

A Poem by Kyle P.
"

Just read it... you'll get the picture soon enough. :)

"

The night I had my first kiss

Something truly went amiss.

When I tasted those sweet lips,

My thoughts all turned to bliss.

Wrapped up inside her smell,

The time I could no longer tell.

I held her hand, her cold skin against mine,

And I knew that I had crossed the line.

At first I thought it would be great,

But then it was too late.

At first I thought she could be a friend,

But then we brought our interaction to an end.

She wrote me soon, the very next day,

But I was scared, so I stayed away.

This kiss, it should never have come!

Now I bear a curse saved only for some.

I know she is out there, thinking of me,

As I now try to set myself free.

But life isn't that easy, you can't erase the past,

Those events are there to last.

After our kiss, she walked into her house,

I stayed silent, quieter than a mouse.

That night, in my bed I lay awake,

Thinking of my great mistake.
