Better man

I have been trying to see clear
picture in your eyes
And I have been trying to make peace with all of your lies
I have been crying and holding back tears just in case i can endure one more day.
But bruises deep in my heart just make me wonder.

What if loneliness isn’t so cruel in another arms
There is time to heal old bruises
Before another blow

What if there is a better place than your arms
Better love to hold me close
A better man to know.

Being in a relationship that is uneven is not usually a happy place to be. If our partner is constantly lying to us and treating us unfairly, then it is probably time to end the relationship and move on. Not always easy to do, but the alternative is to put up with it and live in misery! A sad, expressive poem.
