Echo

Echo

A Poem by Suavis_Umbra
"

Amaterasu-- goddess of light;hoping that my heart can escape the night.

"
I wait by the foamy golden shore,
shadowed by a  glowing honey sun.
I seek above clouds--ill of frore.

I consult with spirits of dead,
lurking-howling,creeping in my head.
I dig and search graves of memory lane,
I dig and search and soon lay in a dark chain.

I seek ,she, who hides in cave.
I seek-- hoping that she can save.
Amaterasu-- goddess of light;
hoping that my heart can escape the night.

I seek myself into a mirror;
I look-I gaze , I see a figure.
Soon it entangles into dark vines.
Soon it becomes part of a dark spring.
I seek myself into a mirror-
I seek to set the darkness echoing.

A very atmospheric effort here. Confinement, hope for rescue, then confinement again is what I take from this piece.
