Attic Cleaning

Attic Cleaning

A Poem by C.L. Wilson
"

Metaphor for how we must let go of things from our past that hold us back.

"

Dust flies

Time flies

I unpack

Old knickknacks

And old things

Sealed away up here

Things come

Things crumble

Teddy bear

Starts to tear

And old toys

Fall apart in my hands

I separate

I organize

One stack

Won’t be back

To stay here

And take up space

Life flows

Life ends

And so must some memories
