you're no victim

you're no victim

A Poem by linda m. crate

Because sometimes the wrong people scream wolf.

you're no victim
i'm not always the victim,
but neither are you
so stop
blaming everyone but yourself
for your actions;
we all make mistakes and we
all have failures
listed on
the chapters of our lives"
we can't just wallow in the grief and
agony without hope of
i can't understand why you sit there
thinking that you're so much
more important than
everyone else"
did someone make you a god when i wasn't
looking because last time i checked
the earth revolved around the
sun, old friend, not you;
you said that we should be strangers,
but you forget that we have
a history
strangers don't share histories with anyone
they're just that face in the crowd
you remember some of the
details of,
but not the whole;
and i remember everything of you
every piece of poison
you tried to infect me with.
