Lost and Alone

Lost and Alone

A Poem by Break The Broken

Lost and Alone

Do you ever feel like breaking down?

When you finally need some help

No one’s around

Do you ever feel like running away?

Never thought someone could lie

Straight to your face

[Chorus]

Lock yourself in your room

So no one can hear you screaming

Hit your head against the walls

Hoping to numb the feeling

Of being alone

Lost and alone

Do you ever feel like you can’t go on?

There’s no way you’re here ‘cus somehow

You don’t belong

Do you ever feel so unprepared?

Never knowing which way you’re going

Do you ever feel scared?

[Chorus]

Lock yourself in your room

So no one can hear you screaming

Hit your head against the walls

Hoping to numb the feeling

Of being alone

Lost and alone

Feeling left out

Look at you now

In the corner

Screaming into your pillow

Shoving people away

Trying to hide the pain

Feeling alone

Lost and alone

Lock yourself in your room

So no one can hear you screaming

Hit your head against the walls

[Chorus]

Lock yourself in your room

So no one can hear you screaming

Hit your head against the walls

Hoping to numb the feeling

Of being alone

Lost and alone

Of being alone

Lost and alone

Honest and direct! Forcing a question upon the reader but rhetorically spoken.

the repetition of the chorus had a powerful impact..."Do you ever feel like running away?"..yes, but where?oh where?...that's the question!

Not an easy read, emotionally, but a hell of a strong, powerful piece that drives along with pulsing power that slaps the reader in the face with each line. Superb work.
