Peace

Peace

A Poem by Glee

I hear baby cries

I hear music banging

Traffic ravaging, hooting

Mowers buzzing, humming

I have distractions

Constructions

Problems everywhere

People

Places

Deadlines

Things to do

Things to avoid

Noise

Screaming

You are wrong

You are bad

You are weak

You will fail

I have worries

Pains

Needs

Nightmares

Demons

But am not afraid

For nothing matters

Nothing matters at all

As long as I have life

I block out the noise

I hold my breath

I hear nothing

I see flowers

I see trees

I see the ocean

I feel the breeze

I see only beauty

For nothing matters

That cannot matter at all

I breathe

I see

I smell

I taste

I hunger for life

I block out all the distractions

I turn off all the noise

I let my air flow

Freely

I let my blood flow

Freely

I let my heart beat

Freely

I let my muscles relax

Freely

For am at peace

A downward stanza spiral of poignant poetic observation and reflections. I can see the tread of faith intertwining the wordplay - a great write!
