Winter

Winter

A Poem by rdawg15

Snow flakes falling down
Happy faces all around
Snow, winter, my favorite time
Yeah, it's a little bit cold
But everyone knows

Snow angels on the ground
Hear the wonderful Christmas sounds
Christmas carols, jingle bells
Santa Claus and Christmas elves
Stores advertise Christmas toys
Children's' faces fill with joy

It's so easy to feel overwhelmed
Family, friends, gifts for 'em all
Packed at the mall
Wallets, purses, running low
Fighting for that perfect coat
It's so easy to forget
Happiness does not carry a bow
Is not lined in a row
But is carried through love and hope

Winter is a great time of year
Its got Christmas
And a lot of good cheer
Ice-skating, snow falling
Building a snowman
Got to dress warm
And you'll be reborn
When you feel winter
