Coming Back

Coming Back

A Poem by Matthew
"

When are you coming back?

"
God is wearing black
The people scream, inside the dream
When are they coming back?

The crack of dawn
Breeds nothing but pain
Are we all just pawns?

Creeping slowly, inside the dirt
The monster comes up slowly
Everyone wants to know, if it’s going to hurt

Self obsessing screens dip inside the ping
Are we right on track?
The voice, it sings, as if to ring; are we coming back?

No ones going to come here
I attempt to crack the picture
It’s only just a mirror

Help me understand
I hear a message from the sky
The voice holds everything together like a rubber tie

The crown of thrones
It’s placed upon his head
Watch as the people mourn

I wake up from the choice
As if I’ve seen enough
It’s that same old creaking voice

Choices are what choices where
Can’t you hear their words?
Distraction do nothing but conserve

Do you know this fact?
Choices can’t come back
God is wearing black
