"Sea Of Love"

....any day of the week poem, for a freind..

Sea of Love

Way over on the West coast

there is a smooth rolling sea,

you can float on it

and never get wet.

Other times, it crashes froth fully 

on the sand and rocky shore

drenching you with wetness and intent.

It is here you can see them

hand in hand

on the beach,

strolling along playing tag with the sea.

“Come with me, my love

to the sea, the sea of love...”

Maybe it’s just fancy,

a fantasy of sand castles made

while shifting with each tidal wave.

Still, tides and time

never really go away,

they beat, beat, beat

in an endless sway

to the sounds of surf

and two hearts at play.

I love it, and I was thinking about the song as I read it, even before I saw the link. Not over the top and who needs and excuse? Great flow, it rhymed when it needed to and was just a fun enjoyable read. One you can read over and over again.

Second, I love the playfulness of your message & I can feel all the sensual & sensory delights while frolicking in my mind thru your awesome imagery. Waves of sensuality crash on the shoreline of this one, Curt. The playfulness of the romance made me want to read it several times...which I did. The song has always been a favorite of mine too. Did you know Robert Plant has a cover version of it? How apropos since he had a hit with "Addicted to Love." Sand castle fantasies do come true, you know...yup. There's something so special about the sea.
I wish I had the courage to scuba dive but I'm too chicken so I watch a lot of nature shows instead.
It's so beautiful under there.
