....death, such sweet sorrow

Death Is A Poem

 

 

death comes in many forms

but mostly from

arrogant verbs

nouns and adjectives

that leads to untold horrors

and untimely death

 

“i love you”

a death sentence

having me walk

the green mile

to a last supper

of grief spiked desert

until the swallowed poison

reaches my heart

and into a poem

 

a poem written

with bloody fingers

from pieces of my heart

and we write of death and sorrow with such a fluid ink...
seems easier even though the pain is so hard.
