Kidding aside, I'm sure I've written things that were unintentionally reprocessed or recycled from something else I was unaware of. Maybe we all do and don't know it.
Stealing words or ideas and changing it in some way is probably done all the time. Musicians do it all the time.

If stolen words and ideas were done all the time, we’d be spending our days in courts of law. Unintentional? Hmmmm……Intentional, without permission or acknowledgement, is called plagiarism. Feel free to read my law books for more definition.
Either way, such works are writ in water.
I appreciate BOTH your comments. And yes, I do clean my ears, thank you.
As far as I know, I've never stolen any words or id.. read morelol I'm glad you clean you ears.
As far as I know, I've never stolen any words or ideas from anyone. But when you think about it, so many ideas have all been done before. How many write about death, depression, erotica,....
I remember reading an interview with a drummer named Carl Palmer who was with a band called Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. One quote of his is "I'm a great thief."
I think what he meant was he took an idea as inspiration and did something else with it. So in that regards, that's what I meant by stealing although I didn't do a very good job in describing what I meant. Forgive me. In poetry, we can take inspiration from others, Emily Dickenson, Robert Frost, Yeats...and create our own poems.
I think that's what I was trying to say. I have called out others on this site for plagiarism. It's wrong and shouldn't be tolerated.
Anyway, that's my two cents. Destroy me if you wish. :)

I am seeing it thrown around this website like confetti. There is a marked difference between being inspired by something or other to create something of your own that is NEW, and basically copy pasting three or four lines of a stanza as the basis of an entire piece of bland brevity, and then pass it off as one’s own original idea and work, without any attempts to either extend the idea or add additional branches of new originality to give it its own shape. That is not being inspired. That is theft. Placed side by side, in black and white, only a moron with a brick for a brain would fail to see the obvious rip off.
I appreciate your return comment and I thank you for sharing your input. After one month here with a break for the Easter hiatus, I have come to better understand how this website works.Cliques and arse licks are the order of the day and quality of writing suffers as a result. Is it any wonder this website is mostly deserted except for the same rusted on souls? Unfortunately for me, I refuse to participate in either endeavour. If that makes my offerings unreadable, except to be picked apart like stolen car parts, then so be it. My integrity remains intact.
