Love's Landing

Love's Landing

A Poem by Renata

Let them soar
like eagles
transfixed

bug eyed
in their adoration
riding a thermal
of hot air
into the seductive
glowing nest
of Luna's bosom;

Let them dive
heart first
head last
into a sea of tranquility
talons retracted
fearless
to the fathoms
of love;

Let them crash
and then bash
hearts shattered
necks broken
into the
basaltic blackness
of moon's mirage;

where their
one giant leap
for love

becomes just the
flittering
flattering
fluttering
of
fractured fools.

What I get from this is the combination of nature and emotion...a good visual imagery!
I like the line about basaltic blackness of moon's mirage....
And then the ending which is kind of humorous to me.......:)

WOOOOOWW Renata!! I love the way you write, you have such a creative way in using words. Its almost like you're using symbolism here with this poem. Is it about the wounds that can happen when in love? Well written Renata!!
