Forever

Forever

A Poem by Reneé H
"

A poem about the struggles in a relationship but how love can prevail.

"

Our story is entangled in forever

Stolen by fights burning red

Leave you I will never.

Words may try to sever

But to my side you were led

Our story is entangled in forever.

An illness does try to tether

A version of me to this new med

But leave you I will never.

Love was put on a lever

But there was something you said

Our story is entangled in forever.

Now I am sure, this is no bender

My heart matches my head

Our story is entangled in forever,

Leave you I will never.

It's got a sharpness to it. A biting fervor. Back and forth with those lines is a nice touch. Some readers I think will be thrown off but I appreciate it.

Hello Renee, tis Singing Bird. Like the way you put this poem together. Short elaborate sentences that say it all and more. In nine lines you succinctly told the story and tis very clever the way you alternated the key lines. Think it's brilliant. Enjoyed it.
