VampyreA Poem by revenant21The midnight moon Glowers down Her silvery glow Illuminating the land Of the Living Dead He rides On a steed Of midnight fur His pale skin Kissed by the Soft moonlight His Inviting Almost inhuman face Beckons to his victims He caresses their bodies Gently in his arms His teeth softly Caress their supple veins They too Become pale He rides further Into the night He searches for His human lover The only one That will not Become his Brand new Feast She beckons From her window She calls into the night She watches for his figure Inside the stony sky He comes To answer her calls Of longing and love He answers her He holds her As his enemies Pour into the Inn of her residence They hold wooden stakes Clenched inside Their fists They burst through the door Which kept them safe He guarded her gallantly Though crosses were Waved at his face They held him down Hammered the Pointed wood into His heart He slashed at them He tried to drag As many as he could Back to Hell With him As his body lay Motionless in the midnight Wind She held him to her His final breath Left his body While he was in her arms
So much for "undead".
