Love Sonnet 37

Love Sonnet 37

A Poem by Reyvrex Questor Reyes

Should love be out of mind once out of sight?
My love has heart that always beats for me,
For close to it am I, holding her tight,
I figured this from Grey's Anatomy;
I gave her chocolates: fit for her heart,
And spring water to drink, pure and pristine,
Roses for eyes and culinary art,
Yet, I practice not herbal medicine;
Things I am not, for her I do become,
Like being king for palaces I never had,
Or dreamy fool, that I must be to some,
To pledge eternal love though not a god;
....If love be lie, and heart a blinded wit,
....I scorn to have eyes opened without it.

This is incredible. Its short and sweet, with rhythm that slows it down so you actually take the time to understand what the poem is about, rather than simply rhyme it off as many poets and readers do.

The last two lines are stellar man!

"....If love be lie, and heart a blinded wit,
....I scorn to have eyes opened without it."

Absolutely beautiful, with a great message behind it.
