My Fault

My Fault

A Poem by Rhea752
"

This moment did actually happen. Though I didn't really think about why I was crying. This was a memory from when I was younger.

"
That night I cried
And many of the little droplets held meaning.

One tear for my new life
One tear wishing for a life I could never have
One tear for knowing I can't have it
One tear for who I am
One tear for wanting to be the old me
One tear knowing I'll never be the same
One tear for my family
One tear for wanting it healed
One tear for knowing there's no glue for this broken glass

Then several tears
Which I didn't know why leaked out.

For my self-hatred
For my eldest sister who instigated the divorce
For my parents who didn't seem to try
For an unknown future
For the world

But I know I was trying to blame the wrong people.

It's my fault for not being a better daughter
I hate myself the most
Because I ruined everything I once had.

This poem doesn't 'suck,' it is relatable and straightforward. Deep emotions and lovely meaning; I love how most tears have meaning.

I don't think it sucks. The poem is very honest, vivid, and full of emotion. It reminds me of my own feelings when my parents got divorced; I can understand the force behind the words. Thank you.

Wow! Very well written! And the emotions, so vivid, so open, I am once again awed. Keep your head held high and a bright eye on the future, Rhea752, and two thumbs up!
