Ink Bleeding

Ink Bleeding

A Poem by Rhea752

Ink
Bleeding
Scratching
Carving
A world
In the stars
In the sky
Of your mind
A Heaven
And a Hell
To the writer
And the reader
Ink
Bleeding
Scratching
Carving
Your escape
Of the heart
And the soul

The third and fourth lines / words did a good job of summarizing the style of this poem. I picture each word as a triumphant attack being scratched against formlessness on a white void, a chiseled and decisive victory.

For some reason I wish "In the sky / Of your mind" was one line despite seeing "A world ... Of your mind" as probably an intended construct. Maybe just for variety's sake. That's not a criticism, just a comment.

The final sense of the poem, for me, was that writing is a desperate race to complete ourselves before we die; that our creativity is a permanent hemorrhage which will spill out of us, either intentionally, or fatally. And I heard the sound of a pen scratching paper with almost every line.

I love how you say that writing is a good bandage for a wound without speaking of the topic directly. You intrigued me and I may as well do something regarding ink soon . . .
