Broken Mask

Broken Mask

A Poem by Rhea752

I hate putting on
This accursed mask
That wears a smile
Every day
Hate pretending
That I'm not crying
Underneath
Hate how nobody sees
The real me
I hate lying
To myself
And my family
Hate feeling
Like I'm nothing
Hate this broken mask
For not fixing everything
I hate me
For willingly wearing
This thing
For not taking it off
And setting myself free

Very powerful :) I never liked masks myself either. Well done and I hope that soon you will feel better and more settled with yourself. XD
