Where is she

Where is she

A Poem by Rhys Marchant

Where is she?

Where is she the girl from my dreams?

Always just appearing on the seams,

But never in plain sight

But yet I know I dreamt of her tonight.

So where is she?

Other than my dreams.

For as my head sank into the pillow,

I saw her there.

But that’s unfair.

For Dreams are but dreams;

Just patches of thoughts with her at the seams,

As to taunt me as I sleep.

So where is she?

For I just want to see her real eyes,

And have the chance to say loving goodbyes.

Before I awake, at morning break.

To nothing more than an empty bed,

With a image of her disappearing from my head.

So where is she, where is she
