I Am

I am thoughtful and conscientious  

I wonder why people can't be kind

I hear fireflies humming

I want for each day to be a gift

I am thoughtful and conscientious 

I pretend that my life is perfect

I feel everyone sees through me

I touch the stars in hopes of salvation

I worry it'll never happen

I cry for the loss of many

I am thoughtful and conscientious

I understand everyone does not have the same beliefs

I say that love will save the day

I dream for the day all men are equal

I try to act accordingly

I hope this day is possible

I am thoughtful and conscientious

I think I can I think I can, I think I can, Walk tall, breathe deep wear good shoes, sleep, eat fruit, smile , diversity is OK, we don't have to be equal, but empathetic, now that would be nice.
