Sleep

Sleep

A Poem by Kris

Sometimes you're in too deep,

but you don't realize it 'til you start losing sleep.

Then you're about as good as dead

as you lie restless, awake in bed.

Your mind begins to wander

and your eyes start to redden

Your life, you begin to ponder

with no idea where your thoughts are heading

You feel the tears slowly dripping down your face.

You're out of breath

like the end of a race

as you slowly approach your death.

You greet him as an old friend

as your life draws to an end.

Just as you feel your heart stop,

you jerk upright and finally wake up.

This was well written and incredibly relatable. I completely understand the feeling from the point of few of the poet (you, or whoever you've created), and I feel almost as if this is my jumbled words put into a beautiful flowing depiction. Good job.
