really crucial

really crucial

A Poem by dan
"

Trouble seems to follow writer's block around, if you will. Or even if you won't.

"

sitting and wondering why my pen

(all right, keyboard)

forgot all of the really

crucial ideas and

words I’d thought about;

‘doubt became the operative

plea, cloak of dark

a finite cause

for wishing for a fix…

a spark.

Hank, Thanks for the visit and the review. First one in a long time for me, I've been hospitalized, haven't written anything for over a month and a half. Almost had forgotten about this one. Glad you liked it...read some more, I'm really great (ha!). I reviewed one of yours and plan to do more as soon as I get through my upcoming surgery. Thanks again! take care...dan

I really enjoy the simplicity in this one. The "All right, Keyboard" line really made me smirk. Nice work!
Also that's a very good pair between poem and song!

Seems the Muse strikes at times when the focus is red hot and yet the delivery can so often be stalled...I liken it to when you record music...all geared and ready and yet as soon as the record button is clicked...the flow stems lol Really good articulation here...as always...

Wishing for a fix. Very strong.

Sometimes you can no longer find any resources in your self and you believe you can find them in a fix. Been there...many times.

Brilliant Dan.
