I am trying to develop the characters more, in addition to setting the scene. Sometimes I will be stuck on a small part and I write MORE HERE to remind myself to add to that area before I hit publish.

Hey Riley May; I'm originally from Minnesota so your profile drew me in. I'm also new to this site, working on a travel memoir, so am interested in finding someone to share work with. I checked out your site, MinneAppleGirl.
I really like the idea of a serial blog, and you do well keeping it updated regularly. I checked out your V-day post, and I'll definitely have to add it to my weekly blog post rounds. My one comment is that some your dialogue seems a little un-true to real life (e.g it seems unlikely that Maddie would type Jessie's name (Not Helpful, Jessie) when gchatting. As I read more, I'll probably have more to say, but so far so good. Keep it up!

I thought the same thing about writing out Jessie's name there too, but then I say it sometimes to people when I'm trying to make an emphasis. :P
But yes, dialog is DEFINITELY an area I am working on, so I'm happy to hear your feedback. Let me know when you have work to review, I'd be happy to take a look!
