Street

Street

A Poem by Herl Rodrin
"

A quest of love..

"

Every night I’m walking on this same street

Same buildings, same ground, same foot prints.

But tonight I feel like it’s an unfamiliar place.

Somewhere I’ve never stepped in.

The buildings are smiling,

Waving “his” and “hellos”.

The ground is tickling me,

With never-ending sweetness.

Where am I young man?

Why my foot prints are changing?

Please tell me what’s happening?

Why my footmarks are doubling?

“I’m walking with you”,

A sweet calm voice touched my ears.

I look on my side, on my back, turn around

But nobody’s there, nobody’s with me.

I am baffled with the scene,

What’s happening to me?

Who’s the voice that spoke to me?

Oh please! Am I going crazy?

I blinked and blinked,

Maybe I’m just dreaming.

I even pinched my arms, my cheeks,

Trying to wake myself up from this hallucination.

And then I feel so tired,

So I sat on one corner.

Put my hands on my left chest,

And my worries have been answered.

Every beat is whispering me something,

Making me giggle and smile.

Now the quest is over,

It’s LOVES my friend, it’s LOVE!

approach 100 people and ask them about love and you will get a 100 different answers. it's so nice a feeling that you forget the world's troubles and just walk around with a grin on one's face.

ahh love..I wish I could feel it again...
