Greatest love

Greatest love

A Poem by Broken girl

16 years of age

Barely able to take care of your own person

Let alone the tiny one growing inside you

Terrified as to what the future holds

Stress filled by your parents

The feeling of their eyes scour over you

Wishing their daughter wasn’t a disgrace

A waste of parenting

Very little support is shown

But you carry on

Swearing one day

You will be better than the judgmental souls you call family

Working till your back feels broken

As your feet ache at the step

But you do it for the little one who will call you mommy

Because pain is the greatest love of all
