One, Two, Three

One, Two, Three

A Poem by Rizaclaire

Hidden agendas behind a beguiling smile,

Secrets entwined in everyday life,

Meanings and reasons of what was and what will be?

Buried now in feelings and madness that always comes in three.

Three things that I did not see,

Or maybe I just did not want to see,

One was the innocence that I thought that was there,

How sweet when love was young and fair.

Two, growing apart was evident,

But like a fool I did not want to give up on it.

Entranced by the dance and enjoying each chance,

Before I know it the affair has come to an end.

No, it could not be because like everything bad it comes in threes.

Three then was finding you with someone new,

The worst part is it was with someone I knew.

Then life as it goes, bad things come not just once but three times

To fools like us who think life will always give us a chance.
