funny how we see little kids playing together...all of them, not a care in the world and not a prejudiced bone in their bodies...then they grow up and learn it---from those who came before...we seem to have come so far since the 60's in some ways and yet not far at all...still the same old thought process...and your poem speaks to that concept...we are all different, especially those who have phobias against the others who are. I see the "born blind" more as born blind of the differences and then the eye sight and heart sight improves...in a bad way...and then we see the differences and focus too much on them...in a negative way...

thank you for your insightful reading of this one jacob ..spot on! i can relate to your inferences about the 60's ..i thought the same thing ..i must say that Holder and Obama did all they could to separate a divide i never saw .. i place a lot of it on their shoulders and other Dems trying to whip up the "base" ... so sad .. so false .. we will always have pockets of hate and fear that translate into a race/religion issue .. i believe that true love and prayer is keeping it small ;}

This is just me talking, ok? I personally would change the format from being so abstract, to something more focused. But hey, if you're satisfied with it, then that's ALL that really matters!

Change the word "your" to "you're" ...then sit back and smile! It certainly speaks volumes!

WE are all different but the same under the skin. When I lost my baby I had to have blood transfusions on and off for a year. I imagine I have a little bit of everyone in me. Valentine

i am sorry for your loss Valentine ..you have swum the river and been over the mountain as the old cowboys use to say ..so sorry :(
when i was in college (early 70's) there was an older maintenance guy that i use to visit with now and again .. people made fun of him as he did not seem to have a lot in the upper realms ..but he seemed nice enough ..i was astounded at the time as during a talk it somehow got around to his believe that black people have black people blood and white people have white people blood .. i was shocked to hear in that day and ager ..after all the 60's equality proclamations there could be someone that honestly believed such nonsense ..but he was unmovable no matter what i said .. i even challenged him to go to the hospital with me and ask .. but no .. no deal .. so sad
