PRONOUNCEMENT

A Poem by Marie
"

Another spring poem, pretty ordinary.

"

butterfly

Tender buds of pink and gold

And white announce the spring;

Ice melts into trickling brooks,

Flash of speckled wings.

Scent of new grass pushing up,

Air like honey to the taste;

Jewels begin to climb from shells

In which winter had them cased.

Blue above and Green below,

Promise coming true;

Though as old as earth itself,

Spring is always new.

Nicely penned and well said ... It is strange that no matter how long we live upon this earth, spring after spring, year after year, the same over and over again, it is, and always feels, new, fresh, as though it has never happened or been done before ...

I'm glad to hear that...
As you noted above...and not to elaborate more on the subject...this is coming up again...I believe the rebirth and the death of winter go hand in hand...gives you the intake that what is beautiful...can also wilt and begin anew...yet we only look at the rebirth...since the death of it all is harsher...yet adds just as much to the equation of the meaning of life...here comes death...yet the value is here comes life once more...good day...

Thanks. To me this is simply a trite set of verses; obviously it means more than that to others...

I went a bit over the top...with the comment...you are welcome...good day...
A re-birth is always needed after the winter season is through. You have painted, us your readers, with a wonderful snapshot of your version of spring's arrival! A welcoming write.
