                      SUMMER

Robed in blue and green and tawny gold,

Crimson flowers lining every fold,

Rules the land a queen, both brave and bold,
Knows how soon her beauty will grow old.

Beautiful piece.
The bigger part of summers where I stay are harsh with occasional rains.
It was nice to know how your summers feel.
Really enjoyed the rhyme and images :)

made me think of the stevie nicks' song "gold dust woman" and the lyrics "rulers make bad lovers, you better put your kingdom up for sale"

summer only lasts a short time, just as beauty does, so there had better be more substance to her than just what's on the outside.
