Tides

Tides

A Poem by Davi Rodrigues
"

This just came to me.

"
I threw a lasso 'round the Moon
I thought it would be hard
But it was not
I swear

But there
I was. No plot
I tied it to my yard
But I released it really soon

It caused a terrible typhoon
Earth had its surface scarred
Seas rose and brought
Despair

The dare
Misled my thought
My mind was surely marred
For I was acting like a loon

Somewhy it struck me as a boon
To have it under guard
On the right spot
To stare

About
I like writing in English, don't know why. Sometimes I think I write better in English than in my own language. Portuguese is not so much my thing. more..
