Letting Go

Letting Go

A Poem by Davi Rodrigues

This is a small piece where I try my luck at free metrics. I still have to learn how to lose the quatrain. I'd really love to get reviews on this one.

Are those whose thirst is quenched by Lethe's drink
And rest
In peace because their mind is clear
The life of sorrow past
Leaves no souvenir
They're free at last
Their memory gone, nothing left to think

Author's Note

Davi Rodrigues
This is that poetry-as-a-versification-of-philosophy kind of thing, isn't it?

I like writing in English, don't know why. Sometimes I think I write better in English than in my own language. Portuguese is not so much my thing. more..
