dying to be alive 

The faceless man dying to be alive 

as he doesn't want to die with nothing to his name 

making this unattainable drive 

something he no chance of taming 

and for as much as he does 

being from fame to innovation 

hes still as hopeless as they come 

it has yet to help this situation 

and for as much as he has accomplished 

he sees that still he is dying still so far from finding the means to feel alive 

as for as much he has come to be known for and astonished 

for his drive once so wild has been calmed and derived of all will to survive 

and as the faceless man finds at the end, he sees afar another faceless man dying to be alive

Love how that opening/ending line and title have several meanings that interconnect and interplay even throughout the poem. Perhaps it isn't so much the accomplishment in terms of accolades but the witness and recognition that his was a life worthwhile lived that brings that facelessness into anonymity.

It seems he wasn't alone after all...even in loneliness and pain, there will always be someone who is facing the same dilemma. I know, not the best way to look at it but, it is something. I like the emptiness/vacuous feeling of this poem.
