Crossroads

Crossroads

A Poem by roobato
"

A story of two souls fused together.

"
Rocky trail, stretching behind me, for miles without an end.
I arrived at the crossroads, but you weren't there.
Maybe this is the way it's meant to be.
A frigid night, even moonlight can't thaw me.

Paved trail, stretching behind me, for miles without an end.
I arrived at the crossroads, but you went the other way.
I knew what you were dreaming of, the gleam in your eyes gave it away.
A frigid night, heartbeat thawing me slowly.

Ornate trail, stretching behind me, for miles without an end.
I arrived at the crossroads, our destinations intertwined.
Unhidden elation, this is the way it was always meant to be.
Blissful morning, sunshine has thawed me.
