Starlight

Starlight

A Poem by roobato
"

A story about an unexpected development

"

How many times have we been here?

I lost count.

The same place, the same time, the same vivid elation.

The world outside is so ghastly,

And yet, here with your warm presence, the future looks dazzling.

My mind is barren, just recollecting how this developed.

My soul you have so effortlessly enchanted,

My body you have so easily intoxicated,

So swiftly and so smoothly. A true prodigy you must be.

A deity of time,

With you, time surrenders and flees without looking back.

A bittersweet feeling, as I long for it to last an eternity.

In this short window of time, only one desire troubles my mind.

The pure ecstasy that you invoked into me has made me yearn,

I yearn for you.

For you to fill this void in my unfinished being, as you have done so far.

Right here with you, this world feels complete.

And I seek no other ways of life.

All I seek is to make countless memories, with you as their main character.

And as your gaze pierces and resonates through mine,

And as your crimson slowly meets mine,

I melt.

Unable, and without desire, to ever escape from you.
