SAKALLIM (In the morning)

SAKALLIM (In the morning)

A Poem by poetry-kiddo alienbaba
"

A song I wrote and arranged the music. Sung by my friend Yogesh Kamat from Goa.

"
Sakallim -in the morning

Translation form the konkanni language lyric:

(this is my sung version...in my dialect)

Its Mornin! You wake up and go to the edge of the well....

Anklets on your ankles...

Your footsteps steps; like a Deers,

Your gait; like that of a Peahens.

Tossing your hair..your jet black hair over your neck,

My Heart yearns to talk to you,

And then....your Eyes gaze on my path,

Is that a flicker of a smile on your lips?

Your face is rosy like an Apple but oh so soft,

Please do look my way again and do cast a smile,

Thoughts have stopped weaving around in my mind,

I am dumbstruck,

My mind is soaring in the breeze;

My Heart is riding on the tides of your love...

Author's Note

poetry-kiddo alienbaba
A boy sees a girl walkin to the side of the village well to draw water in her pot...
her ankles clad in silver anklets,
she looks at him coyly but turns away,
he is fascinated by her gait and smile.

(will shoot a video soon....when I meet Yogesh and hopingly find a heroine...)

oh...the mp3 refuses to upload....pls check back again maybe in two or three days...its a beautiful song...i will embed here...

This is wonderful. I could feel the heart racing, the sweat of anticipation, the hope,,,
The only thing I would change is the word cesspool. In American English, a Cesspool is not pleasant.
