Screw You

Screw You

A Poem by Rose Phoenix
"

It's all in the poem...

"

Screw you too

I love you

But screw you to hell

I’m sitting here

Trying to help you

After you asked me

To help you kill yourself

And you just sit there

With nothing to say

My face seems stoic

But I am tearing myself up

On the inside.

I want you here with me

I want you to be happy

What do I say?

Why do you talk to me?

You know I never say the right thing

Do you want me to say the wrong thing?

So you have a reason

To go and end it?

Damn it all

I love you

Don’t go

Don’t leave

Don’t die

Just stay here

Stay with me

Stay here, in my arms

How can you just sit there

In silence?

Screw you

I love you damn it

. wow! ... that's a painful predicament that you write about ... we look interminably for reasons to remain alive ... we sometimes need those reasons from others ... the reason ... for me ... has always been the opportunity to change things ... the very things that might be pushing me over the edge ... or might be trying to ... if i'm not even there ... how can i? ... we're lucky if we are alive and luckier still if we get to remain so ... there are always blessings to count ... and sometimes we embody and personify them ... a great piece of writing ... very powerful ...

I've written poetry off an on since childhood. My first poems are what made everyone in my life realize I had depression. I've tried my hand at writing stories in my teenage years, but I found it didn.. more..
