Magic of Nothing

Magic of Nothing

A Poem by Eirinn

There’s something magic about

Nothing.

No sound.

No light.

Create the world around you.

Something broke inside me

And I can never figure out when.

Detrimental pieces, heart fragments,

Maybe I left them along the sides of the road"

One little bit each place I go.

Everywhere in the world, I change.

Each step I take and I have less of it.

Aren’t you supposed to have more?
That’s what they always told me.

There comes a time when you realize

“They” is no different than you.

No one knows any better than anyone

Else.

Only guesses.

Nihilistic s**t I am,

I have stopped wondering.

Love is the only thing I’ve known

To be real and true and worth.

But all I do is talk.

All I have are words.

And the magic of Nothing.

I really love the idea of nothing being magical, also the bit about no one knowing any better then the next person.
