Rise of the Hunter

Rise of the Hunter

A Poem by Final Grenade
"

Based on the opening of Demon Hunter: The Mortality of the Imortal

"

Death, death laid in torturous wake

As sunbeams lower find horrors wait

Fear looms o’er star lit skies

But will the moon light ever rise?

Let destroyers of courage reign?

And let dark fire take for gain?

But unsilenced freedom is not lost

For unshaken light has pierced the deep forest

One rises from dragons nest

Bearing mark of evil upon his chest

But low, the dead emblem glows

Moon’s silver light and sunbeam gold

Hardened by hell yet blessed by the light

A legend rises in the untamed night

From flying gleams of iron bars

Blessed light of moon lit shards

To shining blade of crescent shape

Destroyed the hope of demons sate

And when arise the shadows’ screams

The Hunter fulfills the darkest of darkness’ dreams
