::The Power to Break Me::

::The Power to Break Me::

A Poem by Jeanette

On the verge of crying

As you slowly rip out my heart

You care Not how much you hurt me

And you haven't from the start

Supposedly devoted to me

While your eyes are on her

Bands with bounds vanish

And infidelity occurs

I tell you the line has been crossed

You deny with the notion of "friends"

I'm not deaf, blind, or dumb

You are causing Us this end

Meekly I stand and watch

Afraid of the straw that will break

Holding in my despair

For my own sanity's sake

Surely there must be a cure

To the emotional damage and Pain

Something to take off the edge

Like a desert soothed by rain
