Fable

Fable

A Poem by Ryan Riley

She seemed passive in her words
The song that was lost
She's a thought, a dream and a fable
Something I want to hang on to
All I need is to hear her voice

I searched far and wide
Tormented by her words
Blinded by my faith
Now I don't know what to do
I don't know what to say

She is not real
She does not exist
Lost in my dreams
A song that is no longer sung
Just a fable

I understand the message you are sending here, but the word fable throws me off a little. It makes me look for talking animals and question what the moral of the story is. It seems to me it is the same concept but opposite emotion of "Old Soul." (These are just some random thoughts that can be discarded if desired. I am no pro.)
